The Item Upgrader in World of Warcraft
The War Within introduced two gear upgrade currencies, Valorstones and Harbinger Crests. These can be exchanged at the NPCs for upgrading items, Cuzolth and Vaskarn.
Each item can be upgraded to the highest level for a particular slot once. After that upgrades to that slot will be cheaper. In addition the pity system introduced in The War Within lowers extreme chance of winning upgrades.
Upgrades
Upgrades are parts that enhance performance or add new features. Upgrades can be bought or earned through a variety of methods including through events in the game or cash shop items.
Upgrades are only available to specific items. As opposed to enchantments, which can be added to anything, upgrades can only be applied to the item they are attached to. As such, upgrades cannot be applied to a weapon when it already has the equipment of a player. However, certain items can be upgraded many times, providing a much greater benefit to the wearer of the item.
The mechanic of upgrades is relatively new. It was introduced in patch 4.1.0. The upgrade system allows the player to make additional improvements to their equipment to increase it's power. This can range from basic power increases to major damage and defence increases. The upgrades are separated into tracks, and each track has limitations on the amount of upgrade that can be done. Those limits are designed to prevent players from spamming low-keystone dungeons in search of equipment, only to upgrade it all the way up.
The gear that can be upgraded includes weapons, armor and consumables. The majority of gear gets upgraded after it drops. However, some items (such Ornn's equipment or the baby Dracolich) are not upgradeable. Gear can be upgraded to higher levels by buying a recipe from an upgrade vendor, and then adding it to an item in the appropriate upgrade slot. The icon of the item or searching for it in the shop will reveal how many upgrades that piece of gear is equipped with.
The upgrade system has two major disadvantages. First, it's sometimes difficult to determine what items are eligible for upgrade since upgrade vendors don't always show all of them. The upgrade textures are rendered over the item model which may hide enchantment info and other details.
Another disadvantage is that upgrades are costly. Every step to an item's upgrade level will cost a certain number of Valorstones or crests, depending on the item's slot and level. Weapons generally require more crests and Valorstones to upgrade than bracers or gloves, for example. Items from the cash shop can help reduce the cost.
Recycles
Many people are transforming their purchasing habits as they become more aware of the environmental impact of products that are only used once. Some are buying high-quality products that last longer or using their old gadgets to make a way around. Many people are choosing to purchase recycled products and search for the highest percentage of recycled content when making purchases. This trend is likely to reduce the amount of resources needed to extract and produce new materials, and create an environment that is more sustainable.
Recycling is an essential element of this process and it's now much more accessible to consumers. Many items, like furniture and paper are made from recycled materials to them. This means that they're made from recycled or scrap materials and it's simple to buy recycled products on the internet or in the stores. These products are not only more sustainable and cost less, but they're also more affordable than the equivalent products.

As an item levels up it also receives bonuses in addition to its main stat increase. These bonuses are based on the tier, and they vary between one type of bonus to another. The ones who have higher tiers will get higher bonuses than those on lower levels.
As the global economy shifts away from extraction of resources to recycling and reusing more companies are making promises to produce greener products. Many of them are also making an effort to recycle materials and offering incentives to customers who recycle their products. As the demand for sustainable products rises, we will likely see more recycled products in shops and on the shelves.
Rerolls
Rerolling is an essential feature in Genshin Impact, or any other gacha game. Rerolling lets players try again with a weapon or character they like for whatever reason, whether it's attractive or they think it's a great fit on their team.
Rerolls allow players to refresh items for the current waves in exchange for a small quantity of materials. The costs of these weapons rise when the number of rerolls within a row, but certain items might not be offered in any way (for instance the melee weapon will not be available for characters who can only use weapons that are ranged).
When an item is upgraded it enters the Staple Pool and gains extra bonuses. These are based on the type of item that it is - for example an upgrade that increases a weapon's main stat will also increase its additional stat. The additional stats can also alter if the item is modified.
When a player is in enough stamina to complete a reroll they can press a button using circular arrows to swap their existing item for another one. This new item will have the same level, but will have it will come with a different set of bonuses, based on whether the previous item was a sword, gun or a watch.
Rerolling an item doesn't alter its current bonus levels, however a player may still be required to meet the minimum requirements for their special ability. This can make it difficult to find an item of high-level that offers the amount of bonus they want however it allows them to try for another alternative in the future, without spending more resources.
Leveling up an item doesn't only increase its bonuses, but it will also give the item a tier boost, meaning that it's guaranteed to receive a certain amount of bonus statistics when upgraded in the future. This is the main reason why it's crucial to upgrade your gear as high as possible, because when you reach a level where getting any more upgrades will not make a huge difference, it's useless.
Sets
A set is a collection of items which share a common characteristic. They are commonly used in mathematics and are often represented as . Sets possess many properties, such as the associative and commutative properties. These properties are important to understand how sets function and have real-world applications.
In the game the items can be upgraded in sets to unlock additional benefits. A set of armor pieces can boost the armor's defense and a weapon could add additional damage base. These additional stats will be applied after the base stat and before flats and percentages. These additional stats could be a great way to enhance the value of an item.
When upgrading an item, it will replace the previous base stat with the upgraded stat. For upgrade item , a weapon that had 20 base damage will now have 40 base damage. It will also keep the previous base armor value and upgrade requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to purchase an elite item for a low cost.
Upgrades to unique items are very profitable, particularly when they feature an interesting mod. A rare belt that has +5 IAS, for example can have a huge impact on a build's strength especially in early hell. It's also a great option to enhance the value of an item by injecting a high or perfect roll.
Item Upgraders function differently for unique, set and rare items. Usually, the item will be upgraded to a new base type after it has been upgraded to level 10. For example upgrading an item that is unique and has an extremely high defense roll will result in an elite armored item with the same base type. This isn't a guarantee result, but there are occasions when an upgrade will not change the base item type.
It is suggested that players focus on upgrading their BiS (Best in Slot) items first, before moving on to non-BiS items. This will ensure that the player has an excellent foundation to build on for leveling up, and can focus on increasing their tiers and gaining extra stats.
